JoeCigar Sunday Surprise: What`s your guess?

Hi Guys...

The JoeCigar and Monster sale sites always fascinate me, and are key entries iin my list of computer Favorites. Many good deals!

I`ve recently been buying the JoeCigar "Sunday Surprise" packages. One of those last "surprises" was the Nub Camaroon...which I privately predicted ahead of time because of the unusual omission of the cigar dimensions in that particular offering. I`ve again ordered a couple of the JoeCigar surprise packs that are on the website today.

I find, however, that a new passion has surfaced in my life....guessing the identity of the Joe`s Surprise Cigar!


First of all...YES, I do understand that I need to get a life. Secondly, though, I don`t know if I`m the only person on this forum with this affliction. I`m starting this thread in case I`m not alone. To that end, if you`re similarly afflicted, please chime in with your guesses so that we may perhaps benefit from some public group therapy.

You aren't the only one, I too, often find myself doing a bit of detective work every now and then to figure out the Joe Sunday Surprise.

BTW, I've been buying these too, and I've been pleased with what I have gotten: DPG Cuban Classic and Rocky Patel Vintage 1990.

I almost went with the sunday surprise deal at joe's but that was before my eye caught the deal on cigar monster i managed to walk away with 30 Arganese maduro presidente coronas for $40! so ive spent my cigar money for this week. maybe next time.....

I set there and starred at my computer monitor for awhile and walked away, came back looked at them some more, made me something to eat, came back and told myself no... Ahhhhh... I'm getting the courage to pass on some things now.

I would be happy with anything mentioned so far: Rocky Patel Edge, Man O' War or Padilla Obsidian. The latter got me started down a path of trying everything Padilla.

If they really wanted to make me happy they would send Graycliff Chateau Grand Crus, but since these sell for well north of $400 per box I doubt we will see them on Joe's Daily Deal anytime soon.

I wish I would've bought the Sunday Surprise when they had the nub's...never tried one before and am wanting one. I can't afford to buy anymore cigars though =/

We won't know until the delivery man shows up at the door. CI never goes public with what it was. The last one before this one was Nub Cameroons. These will be my first trial of Nubs (frankly, the concept didn't appeal to me enough for me to buy any before).

I like the idea of not knowing what is coming every now and then, especially since CI doesn't send out unsmokeable junk in these deals. No way would I ever buy a deal like this from Thompson.

HERE WE GO AGAIN....the JoeCigar deal for Sunday 8/30/09 is another Surprise 5-Pack.

This one will be a lot tougher to guess, for there are "several" cigars that would appear to meet the specs given for the Surprise Cigar this time around.


My guess: a CAO Robusto


I don`t know if I`ll buy this time around, for the Robusto size is not my favorite...and I already have "a bunch" of them in various flavors. Again, though...time will tell, as they say.
