Cbid is taking advantage of me.
That place totally takes advantage of my type A, hyper-competitive personality.
I absolutely can't stand to see "losing" next to my profile for the items I'm interested in... it's totally exploiting my desire to win at everything. Is there a support group around here? |

That is one of the dangers of CBid (or eBay, or anywhere else with competitive bidding). You have to be careful about getting so caught up in the "winning" part of it that you overpay. I use CI and a couple of other sites as a cross-reference to determine what the going price is. I figure a maximum price I will pay and put that as my top bid (usually about 20 percent below what I would pay somewhere else,). If I get outbid, so be it.

Yes, there is a 12 step program available but in order for you to participate you have to win the auction wherein after you win it the first 11 steps do not work. The 12th step is a link to use the CHIMP system and a friendly wave to keep on bidding.
