Cuban Crafters, pros/cons?

Fellow BOTLS, for some reason I recently found myself on the Cuban Crafters website. Looking at their offerings and trying to separate the hyperbole from the reality a lot of their cigars sound and look pretty interesting and fairly reasonable in cost. Any information pro or con would be greatly appreciated to those of you that have tried their offerings. Thanks,FrankB

Re: Cuban Crafters, pros/cons?

I find with Cuban Crafters its pretty much hit or miss. Out of the few I have tried , I really enjoy the vegas de tabacalera line they offer. Some of their cigars are not bad and others are not to my liking.
If you are interested in their cigars, sign up to the email and they'll send you offers.
side note ;
If you need a humidor , they offer scratched humidors at a discount ( call for availability)
I almost walked out of their with this humidor Cabinet Humidors End Table Humidor - CUBAN CRAFTERS
at a great price.
Also, my friend has bought lighters and cutters from them , and when something doesnt work , they exchange it without any questions or hassles!

side story ; one time my friend and I went in , and since he knows one of the employees - they begun talking and told us " come here let me give you something ", well he led us into a small storage area ( pre banding area) and handed us a unbanned cigar....and it was great, I should have asked what it was great and probably had been rolled a few weeks back.

I'm glad that you posted this, and I'm interested in seeing the responses. I get e-mails from them all the time but I have never pulled the trigger on a deal.

I don't know if they slipped my come Kool Aid, but I'm a believer

I've tried and liked their Cabinet Selection, J.L. Salazar, Cubano Claro an various of the Kiki line. I was actually just looking at this deal, which can't get any cheaper and seems like a pretty good introduction to Cuban Crafters' offerings.

Re: Cuban Crafters, pros/cons?

I've used them a couple of times after receiving their email specials . Both were for the Nica cigarillo cigars. They're handmade and are 3 1/4 x 36 and were only $7 for a bundle of 25. I enjoyed them very much and are very good quick smokes. They're perfect for the short ride to and from work. I'm waiting for another email special so I can get another 2-3 bundles.

Another good reason its a win -win , say you don't like the line you bought, you only wasted a few dollars, ...age the rest ..and return to them and try again.
I bought a bundle ( non cuban crafters) 2 years ago and the cigars were rough. with time they did a complete 180

I've ordered from them before with no problems. The J.L. Salazar, is a great smoke. The sampler is a good way to try out a bunch from them.

Re: Cuban Crafters, pros/cons?

When I first got into cigar smoking, I found myself on their website.

I ordered my first ever humidor from them, and the humidor lasted about 6 months. I thought the humidor was of quality workmanship, but I didn't know any better at the time. The humidor leaked humidity in the worse way, and instead of returning it..I just bit the bullet.

Went out and bought a Diamond Crown Humidor, and noticed the difference instantly between quality and junk, when it comes to humidors.

I've tried numerous times to get off of their e-mail list, but yet I STILL conitnue to receive their internet offers through e-mail.

I talked to them once over the phone, and it wasn't the most professional call I ever had thats for sure.

With that said..there was 1 smoke (I forget now) that wasn't bad at all..it was actually pretty decent.
