Cigar friendly... In the USA?

I live in California where smokers are made to feel about as welcome as child molesting lepers with swine flu. What I'd like to know is are there any places left in this country that can be considered cigar friendly? Someplace you may have visited or maybe you live where there are a number of good cigar shops and you can sit in a public area such as a park or an outdoor cafe and enjoy a good smoke without having the tobacco police all over you.

haha ya there are plent of free states left. they do fall to democratic views slow but it does happen. NC is on that path now. SC is a good state that has hint of down fall. the 3 big citys are on the way now. Charleston went smoke free about 2 years back. The town i live in now is great. i can smoke in 99% of the bars.

I fail to see how anti-smoking equates with "falling to democratic views." Richmond VA and New Orleans LA are two of the only cities I go to that you can pull a cigar out in a lot of places and not get hassled...they both if I recall correctly voted Democrat in the last election.

As a NC resident I'll agree with you there....I only know one bar that allows cigars and it's in a separate room that's pretty sh*tty and has expensive drinks. I don't know if it still is but I visited New Orleans a few years ago and it was great as far as cigars go. And pretty much everything else haha. I smoked in several bars and 2 strip clubs too haha.

Pa and Md are basically smoke free which is a bummer.

Thinkin VA is the place to be as they like guns and smokes from what I can tell.
