leave it on. It adds flavor and protects the wrapper. I've heard of people using it to light their cigar (I have never tried it).

I use cedar sticks to light my cigar all the time.

I believe it is meant to be left on until you smoke the cigar. That being said, depending on how long you're storing the cigars it may not make much of a difference.

P.S. I love Indian Tabac's as well, never had the Ltd. Reserve though. My favorite is the Super Fuerte.

Any cigars that come with cedar I leave on the cigar in the humi. I also have a bunch of cedar from boxes and five packs, which I spray with a bit of d.w. to season it. Let it dry, and interspace them with my cigars, in the humi.
I dont know if they do anything, but they sure look nice to me, and I also take a small strip and light my cigars with them. Something primal about it. ooogga oooga.
Much regards Jerry

If you leave the cedar on, be sure to check under it from time to time. I had a tobacco beetle outbreak that started with this very cigar, and the beetle larvae were eating the tobacco under the wrapper. It was a fluke that I found it as soon as I did.

Yep,,leave it on and inspect any cigar you receive. I don't think you have any worries about mold with this line of cigars. I have quite a few of them and age them as they are a better smoke with about a year on them.
