If I'm not mistaken, I think the contest rules said on or after Sept. 17. Maybe they got bombarded with entries.

The wife won me a humidor. She just checked her email, and she was notified about 1630 eastern time.
Unbeknownst to me, she saw the thing and entered a couple of photos and an explanation.
Will show some photos when i is received.

Well, guys and girls, here are mine. Pictured are my deluxe set of
"humidors" and I use this term loosely. From left to right you will
see my travel humidor, jar humidor and box humidor.

The box humidor is an off brand plastic kitchen storage device with a
sponge for humidification. Next is the jar humidor; with all the hype
about being "green" in this country I have recycled a plastic jar that
was originally sold as a container for Fat Strap Bungee Cords and
named it "The Green Humi." Here also, I use a sponge for
humidification placed between two small containers.

Saving the best for last, I have my travel humidor. It consist of a
highly composite polymer shell, a Ziploc bag, with most of the air
removed. For humidification I have used a high end disposable kitchen
towel, most refer to this as a paper towel.

These humidors are not working great. Actually, I am not going to lie,
they are not working at all. It seems I am in a downward spiral so to
keep the cigars from going bad I smoke them rather quick. Then I buy
more to replace my stock and wouldn't you know, I have spent all my
cigar money on cigars and still have no storage. The cycle continues.

My love of cigars has really been a burden... on my fiance. keeping the bedroom at 70% humidity is not exactly comfortable. Yes, you read that right, I keep my cigars, in their boxes, in the bedroom, with the humidifier set on high with the doors closed, twenty-four hours a day. So please for the sake of my fiances sanity and comfort award me a REAL humidor to properly store my stogies- I guess I really would like to not sweat in my bed while i sleep. I swear, this story is 100% true- I wish I was joking. The picture tells it all, real sweat is dripping from my dome!
