5 Vegas-Made In Different Countries ???

I was just adding some cigars that I received from CBid to my inventory. One was a five pack of 5 Vegas Originals. I use Stogie Rate and like to put which country they are made in and noticed that the originals are made in Nicaragua. I think, if I'm not mistaken, that the others, Golds, A's are made in Honduras. I would think that the same brand of cigars would be made in the same country.

There is usually some consistency, but it happens frequently. The attempt to find unique blends is the culprit. And just because they say they are made in Honduras doesn't mean that it is strictly Honduran tobacco (filler, binder, & wrapper). Hell, a cigar may be blended with tobacco from 2, 3, sometimes 4 other countries and then have a Connecticut wrapper (C.A.O. Mx2 comes to mind). That's why it's so hard to get it straight in your head.

wBill: I just learned a coupla months ago that 5 Vegas are made by Kiki Berger, who has a farm and factory in Esteli Nicaragua. He often makes cigars for other companies under their brand. In the case of 5 Vegas, he gets to use different tobaccos (up to 5) on their cigars. In his own factory he makes predominately puros. In addition, I found out that the 5 Vegas are made in various locations, especially in the Aurora factory.
