Blew it on Cbid
I was trying to up my auto bid to just under the price they were selling them for on CI and accidently raised my winning bid. Potentially cost me six bucks. Still getting it for under the CI price, but...
 So How do you up your auto bid without increasing your winning bid. It looks like I have to increase my winning bid one step to increase my out bid. And for clarification, Cbid is also the "devil's site"?

Increasing your autobid should not effect the winning bid. The winning bid is only effected when I bid against you.

I used the edit winning bid feature and it raised my bid, or at least shows my bid is $34 instead of $28. I guess we will see what I actually pay
 Not the end of the world as I was gonna buy them anyway if i lost.

When you edit your bid it changes your bid time, so if someone bid after you then you edit your bid then their bid is actually the lower one and yours goes above theirs... maybe thats what happened?

I don't use auto bid as I have a fixed line of what I will pay for whatever auction is going on. I will go back to the auctions one hour before they end and if it's higher than I want to pay I won't bid anymore. I usually win 50% of my auctions and what I don't win one day I will win on another auction in the future.

I use the auto bid and never look back. If I win cool if not it was more than I wanted to pay. I just set it at the max I will pay. Sometimes I get them for less sometimes I don't get anything. You have to be careful changing it once set because of your place in line.

Well at least what you did is better than what has been happening a lot to me.
I've been bidding on so many diffferent items ending at so many different times that I forget to check on them before they end and lose
