I thought it tasted alot like an Opus without the citrus and less spice.. now I know why
Then you can throw my theory out with the dirty dish water LOL

Most Sun Grown wrapper are tuff so that's odd.

Yeah I smoke alot of cameroons.. I lovem... Oddly enough Gurkha Nepalese Warriors are one of my favorite cammies and even though I have bad luck with Gurkha wrappers they rarely ever do what was in the picture... *shrug*

That sucks out loud, Nick. If it were me, once I removed the band and discovered that patch, I'd have put the thing back in the box and contacted AF. On that level of cigar, wrapper patches are unacceptable.

I've seen these and catalogs and wondered if anyone would spend $35.00+ on these.

Crazy man!

As stated earlier in this thread, please do not contact A. Fuente for GOF, DCA, etc as they are distributed by Prometheus International, that is who you should contact.

I was one of them crazies and it was one of the worst cigar I ever smoked. I had some decent humi time on it , took care of it and it still tasted like crap. I couldn't even get half way through before I ditched it. Lesson learned.

Re: Fuente Super Premiums Fail again

I never had that problem with the ones I've gotten at the B&Ms, but with the ones I have purchased from CI/CigarBid, the wrapper pulled off or cracked with the removal of the band. They always replaced them. It has to so with their warehouse storage. I would ask your friend where he bought it from... I will pass what happened to Carlito.

Re: Fuente Super Premiums Fail again

I bought 2 Arturo Fuente Gran Reserva churchhills, both of them the outer wrapper cracked and were disapointing flavor wise, I had them in a 65* humy gor over a week. I have to AF 858 Madros in my Humi, hopefully better then the others

I've smoked one of those and had no issues with the wrapper. Can't say that I remember the smoke being all that spectacular though, especially with the cost.

The Wrapper leaf, not the Band. Most of the taste of a cigar comes from its wrapper. So for ex: if you take a couple of your favorite cigars that have different wrappers, can can switch them and see what specific taste comes from the wrapper vs the binder and filler, and just get a feel for what different tobaccos will bring to a cigar.
