Sancho Panza Dbl. Maduro toasty?

So I just had one of those old-standby favorites of almost anybody, the Sancho Panza Double Maduro Quixote. Everyone describes this thing as having "strong chocolate notes," but what I really felt was a nice, toast-like flavor. I got a little chocolate towards the nub, but throughout the body of the cigar I really tasted was a perfect toast.

And of course, it had that great maduro, "slightly salty and earthy" thing going on towards the last half which balanced nicely with the wrapper sweetness. Such a great, low-cost cigar.

But I digress.

Anyone else have this sort of "toasty" experience with a Sancho? Or am I the only one that's tasting this?

Everyones taste is different. I would call it more of a coca/tobacco flavor. I just wish they could make them so the wrapper would not come apart. May have to try using a punch on the next one.

I LOVE that little cigar! It's been probably a couple of months since I've had one.

You just inspired me to pick some more of these up. Love smoking these on the deck, they're a perfect size for that!

I'll get some toasty notes sometimes in these sticks btw...

Definitely the Double Maduro, but it boils down to taste.
Extra Fuerte is a beefy little stick, no doubt about it. Lives up to its name.

I like em both. I think that the Dbl Mad has a little richer more refined flavor profile than its cousin but both are kick ass smokes either way. Of course just my $.02
