I don't know how I forgot to mention it yesterday, but La Aurora Leoninos. They have a nice corojo wrapper with a very smooth Dominican filler blend (which apparently also some Bahia - Brazilian state, not the cigar company - and Nicaraguan tobacco as well) that creates a good medium body smoke.

Some others, Pepin Blue Label, Pepin Vegas Cubanas, Esteban Carreras Habano (not 100% sure if this is Corojo but it is Nicaraguan Habano and taste like Corojo), Illusione 88, Padilla 1932.

Haven't tried this one yet J Fuego 777 Corojo but prices are under $5 a stick. Need to get a few.

I hope you got to try the 777 corojo which is graced with a Brazilian Corojo wrapper grown by Jesus' father.

If you like corojo, I suggest you try our Origen which is made up of a Brazilian Corojo wrapper, Costa Rican corojo binder, and Nicaraguan and Honduran corojo fillers :-)

I had a Gran Habano Corojo No.5 the other day. It was pretty nice. Alot of spice and nice flavors.

I did get to try it, and enjoyed it. Was a nice med to full (closer to med) in strength with good flavor. Burned great and don't remember having any problems with it. I know I liked it much better the the 777 Maduro as that one gave me hell trying to smoke.

Now I need to try the Origen, thanks a lot!

Re: Your favorite Corojo Sticks

Hmm.

I`m looking around and realizing I have quite a few corojo sticks, liking all for different reasons.

Budget smokes:
Bucanero red (Dirt cheap good flavor)
Bahia Blue (Better then the red)

Stellar performers in the own right.
Padilla Achiles
Garn Hab #5
CI legends Yellow.

Cheers,
Randy

Re: Your favorite Corojo Sticks

The Punch Rare Corojo, while having an Ecuadorian wrapper, is a Colorado, not a Sumatra. Am I right?

Great thread ... I'd have to say that Corojo, along with Ecuadorian sungrown, is my favorite wrapper.

Love the GH #5. I have been mainly smoking cc's lately, but I still love a nice #5 gran robusto once a week.

Isn't Colorado the shade of the wrapper while Sumatra would be the type?
