Re: Don Pepin ???????????

The blues are my favorite. Just a good smoke. If I was a junkie this would be my crack.

Speaking of DPG the 601 maduro robusto's are $19.95 (5 pack)on the monster for the next 20 minutes.

Tatuaje Miami, 601 Green and Cubao are my faves. Really, I haven't disliked a DPG creation yet!

One of my new sayings is... "You had me at Pepin."

I mean it too! Everything he makes is great to me... He's the King Midas of cigars right now IMO.

Re: Don Pepin ???????????

My favorite thus far has been the Series JJ torp, with the black label coming up at a close second and then the blue.

That's funny... My buddy who works @ my local B&M said the same thing.

Maybe I need to coin the phrase.

It's really hard to choose as they are all different and amazing in their own little way. I'm really enjoying san cristobal and blue label right now.

Re: Don Pepin ???????????

The El Centurion is my all-time favorite from him. Not his strongest blend but, IMO, probably his most complex.

His "sleeper" blend, to me, is the Nestor Miranda Special Selection. The Robusto Grande and Ruky in that line are amazing.

Re: Don Pepin ???????????

I'm digging the Aroma de Cuba EEs right now, but every once in a while I get the mood for a Tat and nothing else, not even CC will satisfy it.

I also try to always have a box or 2 of Tat Serie Ps around for great, cheap smokes.

It's funny this came up, cause I was looking thru my desktop "ready to smoke" humi the other day, and realized that a full 8/10 of my NCs are blended by DPG... Kind of shocking how many great cigars the man has come up with in such a short time frame!

I liked Black and Tats, also Cubao is not bad. Did not like blue too much.

Re: Don Pepin ???????????

I haven't tried enough by him. I've had the 5 Vegas Miami Knuckle that I didn't really care for. I've also had a Nestor Miranda Special Selection Lancero and a Padilla 1932 Lancero, but I'm not completely sure if they were the batches made by Pepin. The Padilla had amazing flavor, but it knocked me on my butt.
