Any fans of the Camacho 1962?

I've only had one in the robusto size, and it was absolutely fantastic; draw was perfect, taste was wonderful, lot's of wood, spice, pepper, and cocoa/mocha. In fact I've been inspired to purchase a box as soon as possible.

I was wondering if any of you have smoked this cigar and what are your thoughts?

It's funny because I really liked the perfecto but did not like the churchill.

How is the perfecto? Did it taste similar to what I experienced?

Everything except for the coca/mocha. It was more of a tangy/citrus taste but I'll be the first to admit that me palate is not the most developed. All I know is that I really enjoyed it.

Haven't met a Camacho I didn't like, the 1962 is certainly no exception.

Fair enough, simple question, complex answer, I'll try to explain...

I actually have four top favorites brands, and to me, they are in constant competition for first place and I don't know if the battle will ever end!?!

They are Camacho, Oliva, Jesus Fuego, and LFD...

As I try each and every cigar from their lines, it gets more and more complicated. I love them all...

But just recently I have been going through Camacho's line of cigars, Not a bad one yet and I only have a few to go!!! Man are they awesome...

Re: Any fans of the Camacho 1962?

I really enjoyed the Camacho 1962. I think I have tried all the different sizes, with my fav's being the perfecto and the torp. I like the perfecto a little bit more since you can smoke it when you don't have as much time to relax and enjoy the cigar. But it still lasts a long time! I also did get the tangy/citrusy taste from the perfecto like Rich had said. The others just have an awesome flavor I can't describe. But, every Camacho I have tried I really enjoyed!

Re: Any fans of the Camacho 1962?

I've smoked both robusto and corona sizes, and I've enjoyed them both. They're a notch below medium-bodied, and make a nice morning or mid-day smoke.

The Pre-Embargo version is pretty good too, but NOT worth $25/each.

Haha, nice...I see what ya did therrreeee

I have to say my favorite smoke right now is a battle between the Camacho Connecticut, Rocky Patel Vintage 1999 and Padron 1964 Anniversary Series (haven't had a chance to try the 1926 version yet).

Camacho and RP seem to both have outstanding lines and I have yet to find one I did not enjoy!!

Never tried a Jesus Fuego, but I really like Oliva & LFD.

I'm till working my way through the Camacho line too, my go-to Camacho has been the corojo. I think the next to try is the Coyolar.
