Puffers Step Up... AGAIN!

I just want to remind everyone what a great and generous group we are part of.

A month, or so ago, I started the Five Dollar Five Pack Pass. I simply made a post, asked 10 BOTL's to sign up and sent off five, five dollar cigars (plus a little love nugget) to the first BOTL.

Every single guy in that pass stepped up in a HUGE way. Everyone PIF'd the next passee. A host bag was started by the first recipient. Everyone added to it.

By the time my measly pass made it back to me, there were NINETEEN, really nice cigars in it!

I was so touched and overwhelmed by their generosity, I could do only one thing. A B&M, local to me, has a "Cigars for Our Troops", program. It's not connected to any other program; just something they do on their own. The last time I was in that B&M, there were three cigars in there. It gave me an idea...

Our troops got:

2 cigars from John
2 cigars from Dee
2 cigars from Vincent
2 cigars from Andrew S
2 cigars from Nick
2 cigars from Ben
2 cigars from Jeff
2 cigars from Dale
2 cigars from John
and 2 cigars from Andrew (Jack Straw, who had to bow out for good reasons. I added one for him)
I included a note of appreciation, with everyones names.

We sent our troops a box of really great smokes, guys!

This isn't just a "shout-out" for the guys in the pass, but to the general spirit that resides on Puff.com!

Very cool thing to do, Don. They do enough for us so to pay them back with something we know they enjoy is really nice. I miss living in San Diego for this reason alone,,,all of the servicemen there were always greatful for anything that the general public does for them. I always thought it was fun to get ahead of them in line at In and Out and buy them lunch and watch while the counter person told them that their meal was already paid for and then watch them look around to see who it might be. Anonymity has its rewards!

Wow that was really awesome of you Don, I'm all for helping the troops any way we can. We have some great botl's on here! Passes seem to be a great way to get some sticks to the troops.


.....which gives my an idea.....a troop pass? Start a regular pass & just have everyone add what they can.......bad idea?

Thanks guys, but it was really the generosity of the Brothers, which drove this. All I can take credit for is dropping them off at the shop.

Even that isn't worth crediting, since I used the opportunity to treat myself to a VSG. Hehe

Yea buddy! Glad we all could help out...even if it was only a little bit. Also glad they are going to the troops! I'm sure they will enjoy them more than we ever would. I'm gonna smoke it up this weekend for the troops!
