Cool Smashed Boxes

Has anyone that buys from cigarbid.com had trouble with their packages getting smashed in by the UPS drivers or the UPS company??
My last several orders I bought from them were all smashed up when they got to me, I know that it isn't cigarbid.com sending them out like that so it has to be the way UPS is handling the boxes when they go through their hubs.
It only happens when I get orders from cigarbid.com too.
Every other store I buy from that ships with UPS doesn't bring me my orders that way, it is only when I get stuff from cigarbid.com.

I really like buying from them but I do not like getting my stuff all smashed in the way they have been arriving as of late.
Lucky for me I have not had to send any cigars back to them because of this problem but the boxes are getting worse every time they arrive to me. I have had minor damage to my cigars but not bad enough to go through the hassle of sending them back to them over it.

If anyone else is having this problem please let me know will you?

Re: Smashed Boxes

Cbid packaging sucks! they throw like one airbag in there with some 5ers and you're lucky if they dont get damaged.... They are however good about replacing anything that does get damaged no questions asked. Cigarmonster on the hand I got my 4 5'ers of Tempus from them the other day and each 5'ers was in bubble wrap and then the 4 5'ers were completely surrounded by air pillows...

I think you still can request that they ship USPS.

Just a thought?

Shawn
Never used ups with cbid. I always have received my packages from cbid via usps. Never had a problem and everything has come in good condition.

Yes.

Thankfully, I've managed to stay off the devil site for about 3 weeks now, but the last 2 packages that I got from c-bid were dented up pretty good. Somebody along the line has a case of the "don't give a sh**'s" I think. Either that, or procedurally, somethings causing a log jam and the packages are paying for it.

Re: Smashed Boxes

I always use USPS. My dad retired from the service, so I'm a little partial. Boxes show up in perfect condition.

Re: Smashed Boxes

After getting one too many smashed boxes, some with visible footprints on them I've stopped using UPS altogether. I always request USPS priority mail, gets here fast, always in perfect condition and they deliver on Saturdays too.

Cool Re: Smashed Boxes

It seems like someone from UPS is mad at the people from CB or like gjcab09 said there may be a problem with a machine jamming up and smashing them, whatever is doing it the packages are being smashed but the items inside have only had minor damage to them.( SO FAR Any how ) I talked with one of the ladies at CB about it and she told me that I had to deal with it because I couldn't change over to USPS.
I am thinking of going to a different store to buy my cigars now because of what she said.
I really like buying from them though, I can get any cigar I want from them and I usually don't have to pay extreme prices for any of my stuff.
I have a pretty good stash of cigars right now so I may just stop buying from them for a while and see if things change in a few months.
Maybe they will get the problem taken care of by them and I can resume buying from them without a worry for my cigars being messed up. I really hate having to send things back and waiting for them that much longer.

The last two shipments (in the past two weeks) from C-Bid and one from CI came UPS with no problems.
