Ugh, another bad stick...

My long time buddy came over to visit and he wanted to smoke the cigars I'd been holding in my humi for him(doesn't have one). He said that he didn't want the Camacho Coyolar Puro Titan he had bought so he let me have that while he smoked some little cigar that is supposedly made by Camacho(it's called a solito, buck a piece, not bad after a couple weeks rest in the humi). Both sticks came from a local B&M where I used to buy my cigars, but not anymore.

We conversed and chatted while smoking our cigars, telling each other how bad the past couple of weeks have been, you know the usual stuff...girls, gadgets, small talk mostly.

So I smoked the Coyolar Puro Titan(2nd time) and it was much like the first... no taste whatsoever and overall a disappointment.

I think that I am just going to chalk it up to bad sticks though, I am going to give these a proper test by picking up a fiver off of cbid or CI or Cigar.com. I have never had a bad stogie from any of those guys, so I think buying from any one of those will be the real test.

Ugh, two terrible and hellish weeks and a terrible stogie.

What I wouldn't kill for a good Oliva series V Double Toro right now...

I feel ya on bad sticks. A few days ago I went for a nice Rocky Patel 1990 and around the 1/3 point it developed a hideous taste of ashtray.

That's a bit disheatening, mostly it's just because its been so stressful for my family and everything. I was almost crying for a stogie by the end of this week.

Nothing worse than getting ahold of a bad cigar esp. when you are looking forward to settling down and relaxing with a good cigar. I hit a bad stretch a week ago and had to go thru 3 of them before I pulled a good one out of the humidor. Some days you're the bug and other days you're the windshield.

Very funny!

Actually it's ironic because I smoked a Coyolar today as well, I really enjoyed mine, although not quite as good as some other Camachos.

Sorry about your bad sticks. Not to mention your other stresses.

Hey, I'm in Louisville. Maybe I'll see you at a B&M nearby sometime? You ever go to the Original Cigar store? On Sheridan, I think. One of my customer's sons owns it. Nice selection of smokes. Good people.
Take care.

Louisville,Colorado or Louisville, Kentucky? Anyway, sure! We might see each other sometime! We might have to meet up and smoke a couple stogies, I'll definitely check out that B&M you mentioned.

Ok, you have tried two and gave them a fair shot. Why waste your money on more cigars that you may not like? Buy something that you know you will enjoy or have been wanting to try instead.

Re: Ugh, another bad stick...

Maybe the Titan is just a bad size in the Coyolar Puro? The Perfecto #1 has been good to me in that line. Who knows?

Could be, I suppose that is a possibility.

However, I will not let these bad sticks stop me from smoking thing's I've yet to try from Camacho.

Camacho's left to try:

Triple Maduro
10th Anniversary
Liberty 2009
Corojo

Camacho's smoked:
1962
Liberty 2008
Coyolar Puro
Corojo Limited

Hey I'm smoking the Titan right now. While It's a decent cigar, the Monarca (Robusto) size was WAY better. I suggest trying that size before writing it off totally!
