Favorite whiskey to drink with a cigar?

of course there is only one brand of whiskey...crown royal...also the new blend they have (I think it is VR...arounf $140/bottle?) comes from the old Canadian narrels from the Waterloo distillery so it must be awesome, I haven't tried it but it would be worth it for a treat!

My neighbor across the street invited us over for a drink and made me a random drink, as he always does.
3 parts jack daniels, 1 part yukon jack? never heard of yukon jack but it was very sweet, and mixed perfect with the jack. it was pretty tasted with my punch gusto.

With natural wrappers, I prefer a blended scotch. My preference is The Famous Grouse.

For Sumatras and Maduros, I like The Macallan Sherry series.

laphroaig all the way unless I'm looking for something sweet then its Grand Marnier but niether fit the cheap bill. Although for what you get laphroaig's 62cdn is a great deal

I think you mean the XR (Xtra Rare), and your right with it being the last to be made at Waterloo before it burned down. I had the pleasure of trying it a few times, It was outstanding. Hard to find sometimes. Around 200 last time i saw it for sale in a store.

Dont buy it at a restaurant like i did for 26 dollars a pop!

Last i heard they would limit the amount able to be sold per store to 1 at a time. Not sure if it was bull or not.

I still think the Cask No. 16 is still my favorite when it comes to smoking with a cigar, the cognac finish does it for me.
