Got my Confirmation number from CI!

Apparently it shipped on the 6th(which is odd, considering that was a sunday... Me thinks that is an error on the CI order page) and it is coming in via USPS.

However, my only gripe is that the USPS tracking service sucks and makes ZERO sense to me, so a little help here?

Current as of 8: 26PM 9/8/09

Here's my question then, what's all this Accepted stuff about... does that mean that another USPS guy picked it up and it's now on its merry old way to Colorado?

Gah, should of used UPS.

Re: Got my Confirmation number from CI!

I believe that means it was accepted at the Lehigh Valley PA post office.

Re: Got my Confirmation number from CI!

If they let USPS know that they had a package on Sunday the first day it could of been picked up would have been today. USPS usually takes two days, three at the most so I would expect in on Thursday or Friday.

Accepted/picked up means that they have picked it up from CI and is now making its journey to your house. It will keep updating as it stops through any hubs on the way.

Re: Got my Confirmation number from CI!

Take USPS when you can get it! Although you are probably a day ahead of me, delivery-wise, most online 'gars have a long, slow, hot ride all the way out here traveling UPS ground, I've had it take as many as 7 days en route via UPS when delivery stretches over a weekend, plus no Saturday delivery with them (without mucho $ extra). I know many people like to bitch about the U.S. Mail (I like to bitch about govt. in general), but for my money they do a phenomenal job (other than the not-so up-to-date tracking).

Just another Coloradoan's

LOL I remember the last time I ordered from cigar.com I had chosen UPS 2nd Day. Boy they got here fast enough but MAN, when I opened the box the cigar's cellophane wrappers were actually melting and sticking to each other! Luckily none of the cigars got hot enough to actually have the cello bond with the wrapper of the cigar. I got lucky, hopefully if I order from CI my cigar's won't be tainted with melted cellophane! I'd be pissed if all the cellos in a box of cigar's melted together and got stuck in there and ruined the sticks.

EDIT: On average, my parcels have gotten here in two to three days via UPS.

Yeah, sometimes it helps being a little closer to a hub...my orders always have to "rest" in Henderson before the trek across the hills, then sometimes it's another day if they miss the truck here in town.
