Partagus Black Label...Worth It?

My local B&M has this Partagus Black Label display...4 Robusto-sized, for around $26 Bucks...I've never smoked one but am curious. Strangely, it's one of those deals where I just can't seem to get myself to pull the trigger. Anyone out there have compelling thoughts on Partagus Black, pro or con?

Not at all. I have never offered to anyone before. It just so happens that it was THE cigar that sent me down the slope. I figure, why buy four of something you have never tried, when I have bunches. I am looking forward to what others have to say though.....

Partagas Black Label Classico

keep in mind I have only had about 8-11 cigars now in my lifetime so fairly new and hard to describe all the hits of flavors, and still a newbie myself

but all in all I did enjoy these and would pick them up again

It is one of my favorite go to, everyday smokes. Just the right flavor profile for me, and they are not expensive, about $80 a box.

It just so happens that it was THE cigar that sent me down the slope.

Partagas Black was one of a handful cigars that pushed me over the edge. Onyx Reserve Maduro (thank you to my uncle), La Gloria Cubana Wavell natural & maduro, Partagas Black, and Montecristo Platinum are the four that stand out in my mind as pulling me into the cigar abyss.

gjcab, if you want a little variety you might also look for the Partagas factory "3 Tastes of Partagas" sampler which has a single Black, Original, and Spanish Rosado Partagas in each line's robusto size. You can usually find it online for around $12, and I've seen it in some nicer B&Ms for about the same price.

I like Partagas Black. The way I would describe it is...zesty. Make sure you smoke it on a full stomach.

I think I will try this one. I am looking to test my palate on quality maduros and from what I am reading, this stick is essential.

I enjoy them but think you can get a much better deal than 4 for $26. it is a tasty creature though.

Wow!...So many positive waves! I can't wait to try it! I like the 3 stick sampler idea too.

I wish my local B&M was just a little more competitive with the online boys. I'd much rather spend my money locally, but I need some value too. I spent almost all of my 2 week B&M budget on a single cigar yesterday, I could've gotten a pretty decent 5er with the same cash on Monster, Cbid...etc. So, the local guys get about 25% and the big online discounters get the rest.. If I like this Partagus, sounds like it's going into the "outsource" column.

The Black is a good decent smoke. Not one of my "go to smokes", but I'll grab one every once in a while cause I'm a Maduro Slut.

Try the CAO Brazilia gjcab... You should like it too, if you end up enjoying the Black.
