A bit confused on cigar wrappers
Never having a maduro wrapper till the last few months I am still a bit confused, even after reading up on them.
I am drawn to dark wrappers, purely on eye appeal. What is the main difference between a maduro and non maduro wrapper when it comes to taste and flavor. If what I read is correct, the wrapper contains the least flavor elements, compared to the filler and binder. I read also that a maduro is suppossed to taste sweeter, but I dont always find that to be true. Also, I read on this forum, on how some wrappers are dark to black, but not naturally, they have some sort of dye or additive to it. Also, I have read there are maduros, and then there are maduros. Maduro colored and then actual maduro. So, in generall, can you good people, narrow it down to basics for me, as I seem to be confused. Much regards Jerry |

Re: A bit confused on cigar wrappers
Without taking up a lot of room on here explaining the nuances and differences in the wrappers there are two good articles about this that I have read and goes into detail.
