Still having problem with CBID
Well another week has gone by, and cbid is unwilling to deal with me, with a very small missing item.
eight hundred dollars worth of bid items in the last 4 weeks, and all they tell me to do is wait. I am tired of waiting and told them to credit my charge card for this item, or give me a future credit, and if not I will contact my credit card and have the item deleted from my charges. They do not respond to my emails and by phone they just say just wait another week. (Its a parcel post delivery) I am tired of hearing just wait another week. I know most of you have been delighted with cbid, and so have I till now. I have stopped purchasing from them and from their parent company. I guess things are going pretty good for them now, but things could change, and then they wonder why. I find it hard to believe that a company over a ten dollar item(maybee 5 dollar cost to them) would take such a stand and be so standoffish. I live about 90 miles from them ,not across the country, and could have walked the distance easily four or five times in this amount of time. I guess the customer is not always right. Much regards Jerry |

I have purchased butane so many times, and it has come delivered ups and fedex with no problem. I assumed since this order was coming to me ups ground (90 miles away) it would also come this way. But no, it went out 4th class mail. They tell me thats the law, but not true. ups does take butane ground. So the weeks have gone by and still no butane. They dont seem to care. They expect me to wait up to six weeks they tell me. No way will I wait six weeks for a package 90 miles a way. At this point, they are offering me no customer service, return no emails, and hostile to a polite customer on the phone. This is not the way its suppossed to be. They are trying to save a few pennies, so screw them. Much regards Jerry |

Re: Still having problem with CBID
Yeah, that sucks! Nothing should take that long for only being 90 miles away. This is a tough one to take because cbid is, without a doubt most of the time, the best please to get great sticks at the lowest price. I guess sometimes you just got to take a stand especially since you've spent so much on them.

Re: Still having problem with CBID
I'm with ya on this one Jerry. I know, if I'm dropping substantial cash on a business regularly, like you have been with cbid. I expect to have minor issues taken care of promptly, and without question. CB/CI may be a huge, mega, giganto, company, but $200 a week is not insignificant by any means. Your purchases there could easily pay the salary and product cost for the time it would take a warehouse guy to jump in a pickup and run one over to you. Not that cbid would actually do that, but there are some businesses who would. At the very least, they should've shipped out another immediately!

Re: Still having problem with CBID
That is too bad. They should have explained the process better.
UPS will take hazardous materials (butane) by ground but it's expensive, at least a $20 charge plus the shipping costs. Believe me it is the law. USPS will take it without the extra charge but by lower category mail....ground and 4th class. If you've gotten butane from other shippers then they were not declaring the butane prior to shipping......that's a very dangerous thing to do but saves them money and having to explain to everyone why part of their shipment will come separately and later than the rest. "10.12.2 Mailability Gases are prohibited in international mail. Toxic gases in Division 2.3 are prohibited in domestic mail. Flammable gases in Division 2.1 are prohibited in domestic mail via air transportation, but are permitted via surface transportation if the material can qualify as an ORM-D material and meet the standards in 10.12.3 and 10.12.4. Nonflammable gases in Division 2.2 are generally permitted in the domestic mail via air or surface transportation if the material can qualify as an ORM-D material and meet the standards in 10.12.3 and 10.12.4." They really should have explained better but I have a hunch the customer service rep doesn't really understand the regulations and was just quoting what they had been told. Sounds like they need better training for their staff. Of course this doesn't help you right now because you're still out your butane which is just ^$#&$&%%! Re: Still having problem with CBID
I'm having a similar issue with Cbid and a missing Alec Bradley "the burner" table top lighter. 16 days ago it shipped.
What do I have today? BUPKISS.
