Question 5 Vegas Gold Wrapper issues??

Today I was smoking a 5 Vegas Gold Nugget, I smoked it to right about the label where I would usually take it off so it doesn't burn, when I peeled it off, it took most of the wrapper off with it, this is the second time this has happened and Im pretty disappointed because I really enjoy this as a mid-day and breakfast smoke. The wrapper is soo thin!

Has this happened to anyone else?

Has anyone else had this issue with a different cigar?? If so, which one??

That's strange to hear about your wrapper mishaps. I've gone through several boxes of 5 Vegas Gold without that issue. One would think that the heat from the burning tobacco would allow easy removal of the band.

I've had this happen on a few different 5 Vegas blends including the gold. They have really wide band and seems like they use superglue on those suckers!

Hi Jess,

I've only smoked six (6) 5-Vegas, 3 Apocalypse and 3 Gold. No problem with removing the band though I was unimpressed with all but one (1) Apocalypse.

I've had the same problem with Oliveros Rustico and Black Label (huge bands) that even with great delicacy took off some wrapper that remained glued to the band.

Regards,

Pete

No issues with the 5 Vegas Gold or the Vegas "A." They were well made although not quite my cup of tea.

Had it happen with a couple of cigars, but never with a 5 Vegas Gold, and I've had a few of them, including the Nuggets. Actually just had it happen today with a Georges Reserve; bloody wrapper decided it had better things to do than to hold my filler and started leaving the cigar before I even got to cut the cap.

Seems to happen to all kinds of cigars, not just vegas, but pretty rarely. Noticed if i took it off earlier it wasnt as much of a problem.
