Cigar Lover on a College Budget

Hey everybody!

Question. All of us at one time or another has been under the weather financially, but obviously we would never give up the smokes. What do you guys buy to keep the humi stocked? What kinds of those Famous and JR homeblends are worthy for down times?

Thanks!

Might want to check out Taboo Cigars Value Blend. I believe it is $28 for 20 cigars, they are mild but have good flavor to them. I like to keep them on hand for a late night smoke and to give to friends that don't smoke alot.

I really like the Benchmade for about $2.50 each if you get a box.

Re: Cigar Lover on a College Budget

Olivas in my opinion offer a premium smoke at an affordable price. Check them out on Cigars International.
Also look for special samplers at Holt's and Cigar Monster and Joe's Jambalaya on CI. You should be able to find good sticks at a great price. Also check cigarbid. You can get Padilla Hybrids (91 rated) for 1-2 bucks per stick and they are yummy. Happy hunting!

Look at this one Matt, get yourself a travel humidor while you are at it, they come in handy.

If you keep an eye out on cigar monster they have a bundle of 30 Arganese Maduro Coronas for $29.99 free shipping .98 a cigar and will keep you stocked up for awhile. Also I find myself liking the caridad Connecticut which again I've seen several times on cigar monster box of 25 for $19.99 free shipping .79 ea. Indian Tabac by Rocky Patel. There are plenty of budget smokes out there.

Cigar Monster and C-Bid are the way to go. What school do you go to in Baltimore? I went to Goucher and now I'm at UB Law.

Great suggestions guys, thanks. I think I'll probably go for the flor de olivas for my next purchase. That should keep me set till my birthday.

Check out the cigar.com house blends.
A lot of variety, $2.50 a stick, and everyone on the CCOM forum loves them!

Re: Cigar Lover on a College Budget

I too am on the college budget. Keep your eye out for La Vieja Habana by Drew Estates. I bought a bundle of the corojo-wrapped coronas for something like 35 bucks at the beginning of the summer. They are a great tasting smoke, especially since mine have been resting for a few months now. Mixed filler, but good. I think many guys will attest to that. I'd like to try some Flor de Oliva's next time I need humi-filler.

Re: Cigar Lover on a College Budget

Can't believe no one has mentioned La Vieja Habana yet. They are a great mixed filler smoke from Jonathon Drew. I try to keep a few of the Corojos in my humi all the time.
