c.i. weekly special

I am boycotting c.i. and cbid over a five or ten dollar item not received, but to let others know, c.i. is having a nice weekly special. Something I would normally jump on, being a r.p. itc fan.
They are selling boxes of 20 itc 10 th anniversary by rocky patel for a box of 20 49.99.
If you check around this is an astounding price.
They are offering in two sizes. Lonsdale for sure, and I think toro but check.
Plus for 15 bucks they will throw in a 6 stick rocky patel sampler.
Ordinarily I think I would purchase 100 of these to set down for a year. As I just recently purchased a 100 r.p. vintage 90 churchills(my favorite. ) on a special.
So I will stop my conversation here, as not to offend anyone in particular with more then a few sentences, or set number of paragraphs.

Good shopping, Much regards Jerry

Re: c.i. weekly special

I'm not getting something here, you are boycotting this site but then you pubically promote one of their specials? In detail? And make reccomendations on how much to buy and what to do with them? How is this getting back at them for your $5 item not being received? You might have just gotten them a few hundred dollars in business. It's like Martin Luther King hanging flyers promoting the safety and convenience of Alabama's bus travel.

Have you called CI to ask where your item is?

The boycott is personal. I am not trying to tell anyone else what to do or create a movement. I am just informing other botl who might like this particular smoke on the pricing and where they could find it.
Again, this is personal between me and them and my principles. All a man has in this world, is his honor , his promises, his word, and his principles. Very little else matters in that scheme.
So, I wish c.i. cbid well. They have great buys and bids, but I for one will bit the bullet and pay more elsewhere if I have to. Its about honor, promises not kept, words not kept and principles not kept towards me.
So for those that need, c.i. has a great price on these cigars.
Any yes they have been informed, and do not answer my emails, and hostile on the phone. I have now gone to credit card to stop payment. Pretty stupid on their part.
Much regards Jerry

Sorry to hear that CI hasn't taken care of their responsibility to you as a customer. They usually take care of issues as I have had with them in the past. I understand your stance completely and although they have treated you badly you still are thinking of those around you who might want to get in on a good deal. To me, that takes a lot of character to differentiate between what happens to you individually but still be able to think of others who might benefit from your knowledge of a good deal.

Lesson to be learned here that just because they fell down on their end we can still be honorable by putting our differences aside for the greater good of others who might benefit. Knowing Jerry like I do I have come to expect this kind of thing from him. He tries to do the right thing even at his own peril.

Ah, too bad it's already at that stage. I could've given you Steve McDevitt's e-mail address (CI rep). When I got a sampler that had 2 incorrect cigars than listed I was upset and posted about it here. He contacted me and sent me out a 5'er of one of the sticks that was supposed to be in the sampler free of charge. Totally won over my respect for CI. Had no help whatsoever on the phone though when I initially called.

Dom,

Jerry is not the type of person to talk "shit". My area of confusion was in that he was promoting them which I thought was surprising.

That's all.

Most people would but the measure of a man is not about how much shit he can talk but rather what is the right thing to do. I have boycotted brands before because of a dispute that I had personally with that business. However if I know somebody who could benefit from doing business with that company and it would benefit them directly why wouldn't I tell them about it instead of holding on to a grudge? This seems to be a foreign concept in society these days and that is a shame.

Now, if that particular business is totally corrupt and treats everyone badly then we are talking about a something altogether different. ( my 2 cents )

Rev.
Might be worth a try Jerry,,,sometimes a "name" is much better than a worker bee who has nothing to lose because you didn't get what was owed to you. Rep's can usually break thru the bull and expedite things to your satisfaction and you have a "go to" person in the future if something goes south. Good luck.

Lets please bring these matters to a close. It would be appreciated. On second thought I realize I should of just posted the bargain, and leave personal stuff out of it. I tend to do that sometimes. So pleae lets close this thread.

Much appreciated Jerry
