Agree, I still have several 60 RG 90 and 92's sitting in the humi from a special awhile back. Same experience as chewing on a bland jawbreaker.

I've never tried a 60 in particular, but I've found that I like the larger, slower burning sticks a little better.

I just got in the Nat Sherman Metropolitan Banker Maduro which is a 66 ring gauge (so it says) x 5''. They come in a box of 10. Hope they are good.

Re: Smoked my first 60 ring guage last night

I showed up for a football party a couple weeks ago and was handed a 6.25 x 60 Padron 7000 natural by a generous friend with excellent taste. I love Padrons, but my normal speed is the 3000. The 7000 looked like a small nightstick, but what a great cigar. Perfect draw, tons of smoke, and that great Padron flavor. 60 ring works for me, as long as I have a couple hours and some cold ones.

I wish people would recognize the perfection of the 42 ring gauge; half coronas, petite coronas, coronas, lonsdales...the greatest sizes.

Agree. I'm still fairly new but have found that I prefer either the robusto size or corona....but becoming a big fan of the lonsdale! One I smoked the other night was a mural size, 4.5 X 44 that I really enjoyed and it was a shorter smoke.....just right for the commute home.

Had the owner of a B&M tell me he wants them between 38-44 and as long as he can get. Starting to understand what he meant.

Re: Smoked my first 60 ring guage last night

I'm all for the smaller ring guages. I don't smoke hardly anthing with an RG over 54... but I tend to lean towards coronas, corona juniors, or Robustos... The occassional Belicosa...

IMO, RP doesn't make a cigar that would work in a 60rg and very very few actually do. The 90 is completely dependent on wrapper for it's flavor. Less wrapper to filler = less flavor. Which is why, again in MHO, the PC is the tastiest.
