Tat Freaks, Please Advise?

I was looking in the Famous catalog, and they have the Tatuaje Series P. They have them for $105-112 for a box of 31 and that's a kickin' price, but I'm a total Tat virgin, so I was wondering what you guys think of them, compared to their other lines. Also, if you think they're similar to some other cigars that I might be familiar with, that would be helpful. Their web page says they're a lot like the Havana VI's that get such rave comments, except with a mixed filler, which I don't have a problem with, but I was wondering if that's true, or just marketing BS?

They're nearly all sold out, except for the Churchills and Toro sizes. Poo!

I like the P series and IMO they are maybe a little milder than the reds or browns but do have a similar taste profile. They are a good everyday type cigar and are consistent for a sandwich. The construction and burn on these are good also. If you want to try the tats these are a good place to start, but if you don't like them, 30 is a big leap.

Re: Tat Freaks, Please Advise?

Love the Miami and Havana VIs. Wasn't as impressed with the P series.

Only had a couple, but they were light and spongy. for my money I'd go with the Havanas.

Check Holts, I'd advise a look at the Fumadores if you're interested in investing in mixed filler. I've found the construction of those to be closer to a long filled cigar, and the flavor is comparable to other Pepin blends. IMO. I think they're on sale for $30 for a box of 20 at the moment.
