Has anybody had success with CI's "Make me an offer" deals?

I've tried a few times but never had any success. Has anyone ever gotten a good deal with this offer?

Good question to ask. I havent had the opportunity to use it yet, there are a few people on here that have with some success.

Dom had gotten some good deals on arganese cigars a while back. Im sure he will chime in

I just went through the same kind of a deal with Cheap Humidors...they wouldn't even look at an offer more than 15% below their price. I made a 15% on the nose offer and was accepted without problem. I'm sure CI has some similiar percentage that they're looking at, before they accept an offer.

those are my deals on MMAO, i'd consider any of them to be a bargain and i'd do it over again no question.

Got a box of 50 RP OWR Corjo Robustos for $200 back in May. Nothing else has caught my attention.

I also purchased a box of the Arganese figurado maduro. VERY low price for what i consider a tasty cigar. I also bought a box of the Arganese NIcaraguans. You need to know the regular price of most of these cigars, so you know how much to offer (so you dont lowball them and have your offer rejected). Just try it out. I've gotten some real good deals on there.

I made a offer on a box of RP that was not accepted. Then got the box at Cbid for slightly cheaper than my offer. Wierd

I picked up a three pack of God of Fire for 50 bucks...

Saw that they had a sampler of 20 Rocky Patel Royal Vintage (the purple band exclusive to cigar.com) and put a bid on for $65... said they would get back to me.. finally accepted this morning at 9AM... been wanting to try these but they aren't on Cbid and cant find any deals on these.. I think this is the best I could do. $71.50 shipped... I dont think thats bad

Remember though, you get 3 offers per day that you can shoot at them. Start as cold as you can, work your way up in small increments! I've gotten a few deals from there. FG Icon Einstein for like 20 bucks I think, and an authentic cigar mold for really cheap! But yeah, check your offer against their prices first. They list the MSRP, but not their price

I've had luck with cigars that rarely go much below retail, i.e. Liga Privada No. 9 Toro for $180. Other than that CBid has been much better to me.

I agree, I've gotten better deals on cigarbid than what they had rejected, just takes a little more patience.
