The "Perfect Draw"

This is a discussion on The "Perfect Draw" within the General Cigar Discussion forums, part of the The Cigar Lounges at Puff category; I've noticed some cigars have tighter draws than others and vice-versa. What is your idea of 'the perfect draw'?...

Re: The "Perfect Draw"

I like for the draw to have just a bit of resistance to it. I don't like it to be so tight I have to cave my cheeks in to get a draw but I also don't want it so loose it is like rawing through a straw.

Re: The "Perfect Draw"

I tend to like a very easy draw. Something like the Oliva V line or the RP vintages.

Re: The "Perfect Draw"

I didn't know how I should vote... My shirts are pretty lightweight.
I like a little resistance, but not so much that my cheeks cave in.

I would compare my draw preference to drinking a medium thick milkshake through a straw. I know it sounds crazy but it's the best way I can describe it.

I am with teedles on that one, just a nice bit of resistance so you know you aren't just breathing!!

Re: The "Perfect Draw"

I smoke very slowly.

I don't even like to draw. I want the cigar to just shoot the smoke at me. Effortless.

Must admit I did the same thing...

I agree with teedles as well... some resistance, but not like you're trying to suck an ice cube through a straw.

Re: The "Perfect Draw"

I'd say slightly just slightly firmer than breathing through my shirt... Like 2 shirts is more like it for me..........cotton, white, tagless preferred.

You mean like this?? PEW PEW!!! PEW PEW! lol you should attach an electric fan to the cherry, a switch on the fan, and put some large gauge surgical tubing on the cap of the cigar so that you can just flip a switch to get a big puff of smoke! LOL!
