Smaller Ring Sizes

I'm looking to figure out my next order, however I have no idea what smokes I should get!

I need some recommendations for nice smokes that are smaller then robustos. All my current cigars are robusto and larger and I'm looking to branch out and try some new sizes!

Re: Smaller Ring Sizes

Try typing tins into JR and any of your favorite online stores, My daily is almost always 32 or 34 ring. Lots of decent name brand smokes are doing small now, My fav is cohiba red dot 44.99 for 5 tins of 6. Partagas is a close 2nd and a little less money. But most are available.

I'm looking more at coronas and the like. Something about medium to medium heavy.

Re: Smaller Ring Sizes

Oliva Series G (maduro) Robusto (4.5" x 50)
Oliva Series G (maduro) Special 'G' (3.7" x 4
5 Vegas Gold Nuggets (4.5" x 44)
Ashton VSG Tres Mystique (4.3" x 44)
DPG Cuban Classic 1952 (perla) (4.2" x 40)
5 Vegas Miami Petite Corona (4.5" x 44)
Tatuaje Petit Tatuaje (4.5" x 32)
Cabaiguan Petite Cabaiguan (4.5" x 32)

Those are just about all of my everyday "go-to" type smokes. They are all awesome!
All these little guys pack a ton of flavor.
hope that helps!

Re: Smaller Ring Sizes

Padron Londres Maduro Corona 5.5x42
La Aurora 1495 Corona 5.2x43
CAO Gold Maduro Corona 5.5x42
Arganese Maduro/Nicaraguan Corona 5.5x 45

Coronas are one of my favorite sizes, and they are my favorite size in the above brands.

A thing about Coronas that I've found to be true: Focus on the wrapper when looking to buy more than you normally would with any other sizes. In a corona/smaller rg cigar there's a higher ratio of wrapper to filler so you're going to taste the wrapper much more. This is especially true of the CAO Gold, and Padron Londres.

Re: Smaller Ring Sizes

There are some good ones mentioned above and I agree big time with the C.A.O. Brizalia Piranha (best Brizalia in my book) and the VSG Tres Mystique.

The other day I bought a fiver of 601 Green Coronas, man smoke done of these babies and it was freaking awesome!

Re: Smaller Ring Sizes

CI has a "Thin Ring Sampler" that I've tried and really liked. I seem to lean towards the smaller rings.

All great cigars.
Got a nice full box of the Piranha and the Palmas Extra resting right now...good choices!

I'd like to get my hands on some Machitos, but I only see them in 50-count boxes for about $150 bucks. Do they ever show up on Cbid?

Padron Palmas. End of story for the whole non-Cuban industry, IMO.

Re: Smaller Ring Sizes

Never tried the Londres (Quintero?)

I will say that I can't put these 08 Palmas down...I am going to kill the whole box too quickly if I keep this up. I've read some bad reviews of the 08 (plugged, draw problems), but luckily my box seems to have escaped these flaws (so far).
