I'm a little upset at the young woman tending the counter, because I brought the stick up to the counter and went back to browse, and came back to her rolling the cigar around like a toy! Most of the (what I think may be plume) was taken off, but still looks like it may be promising? Or is it mold? LOL! Is this a good smoke? I'll find out later, I have quite a few to smoke before this one!

wow, I would have said something to her, Im sure some other people would not have tolerated that.
Its plume not mold, and from what I have heard, it is a fantastic cigar, I have a couple resting in the humi, but they have been screaming my name lol

enjoy!

I've actually only had one LFD a long time ago and really enjoyed it. I can't recall any specific notes of flavor or which one it was, although I know it was a chisel. My local B&M just got some in stock that I will be trying soon. They have a LFD cabinet oscuro that is insanely oily. It literally looks like someone painted a glossy wood finish on it..awesome.

I have been the told the LFD's are to die for if you like strong cigars. I almost pulled the trigger on a 5 pack the other day. Expensive smokes eh?

Re: La Flor Dominicana; Any good?

You can see where she rubbed off the plume!

Was it the last one? I'd grab a different stick.

Re: La Flor Dominicana; Any good?

Thanks guys! I've heard these are among the stronger sticks, and as per my last post about HdM being a very bland plumer, I decided I'd roll the dice on this one. There's a whole box of these, and a few boxes of others pluming! One in-particular, when I get my funds up, might be the Camacho Corojo 11/18's I saw =D. They also had a Camacho with a plain brown band that said (Diplomatico?).

I won't worry about this experience, as it is not a usual one. I'll just have to put it directly in the baggie next time! *CIGARS ARE NOT TOYS!* LOL!

Re: La Flor Dominicana; Any good?

LFD has some great cigars. I am a big fan of the Double Ligero chisel. I love the coronado and if you can get a coronado maduro was fantastic.

Re: La Flor Dominicana; Any good?

Not having the plume on it will make no difference at all. I would however, have been upset that she was rolling my cigar around.

BTW LFD's are some very good cigars. I especially like the lancero.

Re: La Flor Dominicana; Any good?

Well, I'm just echo'ing everything here but it needs to be said, LFD's are excellent!! And I'm generally not a fan of dominican puro's, though I do like the AF Hemmingway. And yeah, they are generally strong cigars. Enjoy it!

I second that. My brother gave me a couple sticks, I think they were 6x60, huge cigar and a very enjoyable smoke. Plus I'm a sucker for nice bands.

Re: La Flor Dominicana; Any good?

Excellent cigars and I get them whenever I see them on sale. I love a strong Dom. cigar and these suckers will do it for you. Had I seen the counter girl rolling my cigar around like that I'd have had her get me a fresh one.
