Do you ever hope you are out bid on CBid?

This has happened to me a few times. I tend to bid on things when I'm half asleep and the next day I realize that either I thought I was bidding on something else, or my bid is higher than what it would cost from CI.

How often does this happen to you?

Yep, I wanted to be outbid on my last hauls for the week. I don't have any more room and need the money to buy beads/wood for my Vino

Re: Do you ever hope you are out bid on CBid?

I never bid with the hopes of being outbid. My bids are exactly where they need to be and if I win that's great. If I lose then I know I will bid again the next week. I pretty much bid on the same items every week and win half of them.

I bid 220.00 on a box of PAM and was glad I was out bid because at the time I was broke...but I would have found the money if I won...I was sweating it

Last time I bid I got out bid and it didn't bother me at all. I have no room left for cigars. I'm done for a while.

Re: Do you ever hope you are out bid on CBid?

I've never hoped that I would be out bid, but I have thrown out a few low ball bids just to see it I can score a good deal. I have been surprised in the morning when the email came never thinking that I had a snowballs chance in hell.

Re: Do you ever hope you are out bid on CBid?

I had a Tower of Power delivered yesterday that I was hoping to be outbid on. I got it for $650 delivered, which is a pretty good deal I guess. But now I have a gigantic humidor that I see sitting empty while it cures. I have a few good cigars to put in it when ready, but no where near the capacity of the humi. Now I feel like I will need to spend more time on the bid site to try and fill the thing.
I wished to be outbid because I don;t have the need for the capacity and I don't want to spend the money to fill it. I'll start a thread with pictures in the next couple of days..

So I don't see where the problem is.......

Ya I've hoped to be outbid before, when I make a snap decision then realize I really can't afford it, or if I bid more than CI has it for.

Re: Do you ever hope you are out bid on CBid?

I once put in a killer bid on a brick of minis, only to later realize I was bidding on a single tin, not six. That made it a really crappy deal, instead of a good one. Fortunately, someone else made the same mistake and outbid me at the last hour. Whew!

Only when I bid early in the week, only to have money go out far faster than I anticipated. Of course, those seem to be the weeks when I never get outbid.
