How old were you when you got into cigars?

I voted over 40. Even though I have smoked an occasional cigar ever since I was around 16, did not really get into cigars until I was over 50.

I smoked a couple near the end of High School and occasionally thereafter but I really got into cigars in my early-mid twenties.

I started smoking swisher sweets & black n mild's when I was probably 13, was aware of higher end cigars and drooled over them online, but didn't really know anything about them for one and had no way to get them. I for one knew no one who would buy tobacco for me, so I was only able to get cigars if I stole them. Between 13-14 I was arrested 2 times for shoplifting and that put a stop to my smoking until I turned 18. Stupid shit you do when your young

Starting in early college years, and for the next 25+ years, smoked some good cigars, and some really bad ones. Then, about a year-and-a-half ago, a CC Upmann corona changed my life, and my finances, forever. I don't regret it.

I had one or 2 cigars before... like at a wedding or stag, but only really got into them earlier this year. since then I have amassed 2 humidors, 1 for my CC's and 1 for my NC's.... and both are rapidly becoming too small!

I started late in life. At about 45 (now 53).
First cigar was in the JR store/bar in Morristown NJ. I was there with a friend enjoying a scotch. He offered one of his cigars and I (to my surprize) enjoyed it very much.
Still just a casual smoker, but when I have a cigar, it is an enjoyable time.

Our mayor in the town I grew up in ( Antioch, Ca.) was a freind of the family and a big time Cigar Person who always had Cuban cigars. When I was about 14 I asked him if I could have a few and from that experience I was hooked. I'm 55 now so for 41 years of cigars I am still sliding down the slope. I use to smoke cigars all thru High School and played on the golf team as it was easy to hide my habit while on the course. When the coaches or officials came into view I put the cigar in my bag until they were gone. Who would have known that cigars and golf would make such a hit in 1969 and here we are now in 40 years later?

I started getting into them just about a year ago. My dad has smoked them regularly throughout my whole life, but it wasn't until a buddy got me to try one that I started getting into it.

My Dad blames himself for getting me into cigars haha. (since he smoked em and had his own humidor)

Voted 19-30. I have smoked an occasional cigar for the past few years but now at 26 years old I've really been into it for the past few months. Probably way too much into it. Bought a small 20 count humi figuring I wouldn't need to have that many cigars on hand but obviously that got small real quick. Now I have already filled up my 300 count humi. But then again hanging aroung this site you quickly learn that thats nothing special, pretty typical actually.

i used to smoke the occasional it's a boy, it's a girl stogie or a swisher, when i was in my twenties. i thought that was what cigars were. until a friend gave me a davidoff cigar. that got me hooked and i was about thirty. now i'm forty-nine and still smoking.

I smoked cigars here and there from about 17 to about 26. When I got married 13 years ago is when I went full bore.
