Thoughts on Olor?

Cigar Monster has the Olor Nicaragua coronas for $40, as opposed to their 'normal' price of $84, which seems like quite the bargain, unless they're nasty. I don't see a lot of talk about them, possibly due to being a Famous exclusive. They have the regular Olor, the Fuerte, and the Nicaraguans. Just wondering what folks think about the various blends and vitolas. They're made by Oliva. That's not a guarantee that they're good, but it's a darned good start, right?

I did not know they were blended by Oliva.
Needless to say, the Olor "Fuerte" maduro line I have smoked was a total dud imo. It wasn't a dog rocket, but it didn't have any flavor at all. There are better smokes and better deals to be found for sure...

I've tried three different Olors (Nicaragua, Fuerte, Rothschild) and was not impressed by any of them. Only the Fuerte had a decent smoke out of them and, as Rubix pointed out, it was a fairly dull smoke. You might want to try it in a sampler or as a single but I don't recommend buying a box sight unseen.

I smoke 'em when I don't want anything too flavorful, and at those times, I enjoy them. Good "pass the time" cigar for me.

I like the Olor Nicaragua, nice smoke for a good price. Picked up two boxes of coronas on a 2 for 1 special at Famous awhile back.

Very mediocre smoke, I think. Many better house brands.

Curious to hear some more opinions on these. I see them come up on cigarmonster all the time.

My father used to buy these. His regular smoke was La Gloria but he had these just to chew on in the house where he wasn't allowed to smoke. When he went outside he always grabbed a La Gloria, never an Olor. I once asked him why he never lit one up and he said because they aren't good enough to smoke.

I think Famous did a lil buy out on these.... I saw in a recent Famous catalog that "a new blend" was comming soon. I think Famous bought what they had left on the low-low and plastering them on the Monster the last few weeks. Not so much now they have the "mash-up" at the end of the day....
