I have to say the strongest in your face cigar I have had is the Rocky Patel Counterfeit Maduro. To me it is just pure strength. I don't really enjoy it, just too much.

IMO the LFD Double Ligero Chiselito is an excellent strong cigar.

Re: What are the strongest full bodied smokes?

Well I finished the LFD DL 452 in about an hour or so, and I definitely was feeling it.

It was a great cigar that is for sure.

The first third hit me with lots of pepper right in the face, but then the second 2/3, i tastes lots of mocha and was really really good, tons of smoke,

When i got to the last third pepper came back but i still tasted mocha.

I really enjoyed it but could not smoke it everyday, would be a once a week for me I think.

I think I will try the CAO either on the weekend or next week

Try a VSG Spellbound, first thing in the morning on an empty stomach with a good strong cup of coffee.

If that does not grow hair on your back, nothing will.

JdN 1970, had one this morning (mistake) and almost passed out when I stood up to go get a drink! First cigar to really get to me like that. But I also smoked it after breakfast which was stupid!

Insofar as brands are concerned, I believe Camacho to be the strongest overall. Their mildest cigar to date, the Conneticut, is at least medium. Try an SLR torpedo maduro.

As stated, the LFD DL Chiselito will introduce you to the true definition of your tolerance.

I did have a Camacho Diploma Maduro once, and right away I love the flavors I was getting unfortunately the cigar had a casualty which I posted about in the review section, and it might have been due to the way the B&M was storing it

I only got about 1/3 in and it fell apart on me, how strong is the Diploma Maduro? I am thinking of trying that one again though it was expensive

Re: What are the strongest full bodied smokes?

These are the top 3 strongest sticks for me.

1. Man O' War Ruination

2. Camacho 1962 Pre-Embargo (my new favorite by the way)

3. Joya De Nicaragua

I had a Man O War Torpedo once I did not like it, but I guess that is different from Ruination

Camacho 1962 Pre embargo have not heard of those or saw them in the stores will take a look for them

and next time I am in Barclay Rex will pick up JdN Antano 1870
, hopefully by then they will have an Oliva Cain in

Thanks for suggestions

You're most likely gonna have to check online for this one, I doubt B&M's carry it. I suggest Cbid, because I think they go for $25 a pop. But trust me on this one, it's a GREAT smoke my friend.

Re: What are the strongest full bodied smokes?

Now that we're talking about Camacho, I'd suggest the Corojo or the Triple Maduro.

I am definitely going to check out Camacho when I get a chance again, and Triple Maduro sounds delicous, since I love Maduro wrappers

One thing is I am bias to Camacho, since one of my favorite TV shows Sons of Anarchy, one of the main characters loves and always smokes Camacho cigars so i get a kick of smoking them. (that is advertising for you)

Back on topic, I deifinitely felt the strength of the LFD DL 452, I think it hit me like 2-3 hours after I smoked it more then right away because about 2 hours after I smoked it I got a headache, and I know a headache is a sign of nicotine overdose, but not a killer headache like a migraine, I get migraines, so i can tell the difference. But I felt like I had to lay down and just sleep but it relaxed me enough last night to be able to sleep without taking any sleeping medicine which I normally need during the week.

Re: What are the strongest full bodied smokes?

Just my thoughts on some of the suggestions so far:

LX2/Cain: Definitely have some ligero, but CAO & Oliva did a great job of making a balanced cigar and IMO these dont really pack a punch.

Joya Antano 1970: Outstanding Taste and definitely a powerhouse cigar, one of my favorites.

LFD Double ligero: Me and a buddy both tried some of these when we were 17 and after about 3/4 of it we were laying on the floor with our world spinning for about 1/2 hour. Never tried one since.

LFD's and LX2 are my favorite full bodies.
