I was watching some Cigar Aficionado videos on youtube and one suggestion they gave is to write a score on the back of the band 1 out of 10 so you can remember how much you liked or dis-liked it. I'm going to start doing this since I have a bad memory.

Re: Do you keep your bands?

So far I have just been keeping the bands of those cigars that I have liked or want to try again.

I do need to try to start keeping notes though.

I really need to do this as well, I see a deal on boxes and think I smoked them and that was good, Then I do some review research and find out how many sub brands each label has and I go cold blank can't remember shit. I don't have money to waste on guess's. though sometimes if I see a fiver you all talk about a bunch I'll pick one up.

Don't know what's so hard about doing a journal?

Re: Do you keep your bands?

I slide every single one of them off still in a ring. I usually wait until the cigar burns just about to the band and then carefully slide it off. I toss them all in a huge cookie jar on top of my fridge. No idea what I'm going to do with them or why I'm obsessed with keeping the ring "as is".

Re: Do you keep your bands?

I just thought of this yesterday. It's a clock. The face is a band collage, and there are hands, but no numbers or tick marks of any kind on the face. Down at the bottom, it just says "DUH!".

Re: Do you keep your bands?

I was saving my bands for a project. I was covering a flask with em. But I totally messed up when I was putting them on the flask and coating with poly... So, I still collect.. Take them off when i'm almost to the band.

Re: Do you keep your bands?

I've lost and misplaced quite a few bands but in past year or so I've made a habit of taping them to the door of my room. If I ever get enough bands I'll probably do some sort of awesome collage project.

Re: Do you keep your bands?

We're very similar. I take mine off about half way through too and keep them in any number of spare cigar tins. Currently stocking into my 5th tin as the other four are packed to the point that when I open them they nearly pop out and tumble all over the place.
I sort of have plans for them but won't go into it here as that's a whole nother thread/post.

I keep one bag for the "to be repeated" bands and one bag for all the others
