Now the quick-bid is for $11.50; not a bad price on these at all. YET some people seam to think that the Quick-bid price is all Hogwash and yurn to pay more. $5.50 more??? You can go get a pretty decent stick on the singles side for what they just blew on an overbid. This lot is on CBid pretty much once or twice a week; WHY NOT WAIT??

Maybe it was a recent thread of how good they are.
Puros Indios Viejo Review
I am not knocking Eyesack for the thread by no means. It just goes to show you how fast people can jump on a bandwagon and do whatever it takes to "be cool" by doing something. In turn outbiding a person who knows how much they should go for and they miss out because of the bandwagon effect.

These are nice sticks for the price ($11.50), but if the bandwagon keeps on driving up the prices they are going to be the next Opus. I did a small review on the "Free Cuba" Super El-Cheapo Review of Free Cuba Lets see if those prices go up a few bucks.

Its kind of like what I told my 13yo niece... She is at the age where her mind is a sponge and do dumb things because "its cool, Uncle Shawn!" Like I told her " Do what YOU want to do, not because everyone else is"

In this case, it seems people are willing to pay $5.50 to be "cool"

Just my rant for the evening.

Re: CBid Antics

I gotta agree with you on this. This line of cigars I have gotten before for $9 but lately it seems people are just bidding with no sense of what they are doing and it has now doubled in price for the last month. It's gotten to be as bad with the Puros Indios as you pointed out but I draw the line and won't pay over $20 for the bundle of 20. I like the longer vitolas as I have plenty of time to smoke. I can't see paying $30 for the robustos line of this same cigar even though they are going for $46 thru the online sources. I'm afraid you are right on target about the Puros line as they are getting to be too popular. Good think I bought about 60 of them during the summer where I was winning auctions for $16 and $20 per bundle.

Good thing for Quick-buy... Us "wise guys" can still catch a deal that way still at times.
Let the others waste thier money; I work a little too hard to waste mine!

Re: CBid Antics

Generally they go for $11 every time.

If I can be cool for $5.50, then I'll take $11.00 worth please

Re: CBid Antics

Same thing at JR some people are paying what they can buy right off the board, I waited weeks to get what I wanted. My biggest atta boy was the Cohiba Puro Dominican Churchill they sell for about 400+ I paid half that and have had similar luck on several of there auctions.

I do get anxious but won't overpay, well most of the time anyway!

Re: CBid Antics

Gotta be careful any time you are bidding on a purchase.
The bidding and perceived "winning" can become the focus and not getting a good deal.
True for cigars and many other items.
That's why I am not a big fan a bid sites.
But for those that like it, have fun. But if you pay $10 for a stick that you could have ordered to $5, well enjoy!
