Need Some Canadian Love
My business travels will be taking me north of the border to Vancouver for a few nights next month. Anybody have any good recommendations for smoke shops. I'm really looking forward to just walking into a store and buying a cuban....WILD!!! If only I could convince the shop owner to ring it up so it doesn't show up on the corporate card.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated....

Be prepared to spend almost $30 for a Monte 2 or something similar.

Re: Need Some Canadian Love
+1 on being a little pricey. Aside from the USD slowly becoming worthless against other currencies, I paid $13-14 for H. Upmann and Ramon Allones coronas in Ottawa a few weeks back. Like burnsco said, the average CC ran 25+ CAD.

Re: Need Some Canadian Love
You can get some damned good CC's for about $6 - $10 a piece if you look at some of the smaller RG stuff. HdM Palmas Extra, RyJ Coronitas en cedros... you don't have to dump $20 to get a good cuban. Larger RG stuff will definitly set you back though.

Good stuff guys, thatnks for all the help. I knew they'd be pricey, I'm just looking forward to walking in and actually seeing Cubans on the shelf. Any nice smoking establishments to speak of?

Under new laws, smokers will not be allowed to light up in public places and workspaces, or within three metres of public doorways. You can still find people breaking those laws though. Search Revolucion Cigars to find location map. Please pass a "Hello" from Rob in Kelowna to Paul Cheers. |

+1 on City Cigars
I have put a few pictures I took there up on a page. Unfortunately, I do not have link privileges yet, but all the info you need is here: ajh.ca/cigar/index.html |
