For the last two years or so, in the nyc and surrounding areas, there have been a ton of radio ads for punch cigars. One of the front men has been lawrence taylor the hall of famer giant linebacker.
Lately, I have been hearing a lot of ads for macanudos as well.
Do you have a lot more radio cigar ads in other parts of the country, especially less citified area of the country?

I have not heard any on teh radio and I live just outside of Philly

Granted I rarely listen to terrestrial radio. and there I have def never heard any on Sirius

I don't recall any manufactures adds, but there are at least 3 B&Ms in my area that run adds.

In Minnesota, Cigar Jones (a store located in a western suburb of Minneapolis) has used radio in a big way. They advertise a lot and, at one time, they did a live show that was broadcast...from the store...on Saturday nights. Both of the owners have a background in radio...so it really sounded like they were having fun. Most of the time they didn't even talk about cigars...in other words...it felt like you were in the cigar store. It was brilliant!

Here in Columbus, Ohio, the local classic rock station have what they call "Free Cigar Fridays". A local B&M gives away free cigars and advertises their shop, but it's not brand specific. It's still a great promotional idea, none the less.

I have never heard any commercials on my local radio stations here in South Florida regarding cigars at all. No brand advertisement, no B&M advertisement??? I have a feeling there is a reason for this, but Im not sure what it is, I mean legally ya know

Never heard a radio commercial for cigars in my life. I live in Florida.

No cigar brands buy spots in stl but a few B&Ms do. I buy spots on Rush from time to time.

Boy I am surprised. I figured lib new york would have the least, and the rest of the country it would be all over the air waves. We have lots of ads for punch, and macanudo. I hear them everyday on terrrestial radio. have sirius in my truck, but the stations I listen to are commericial free.

I could only wish to hear radio ads for cigars in my area. One thing I will say is that the Atlanta area has quite a few cigar stores to go to and hang out.

One local B&M advertises their store, but only mentions that they have cigars, nothing about specific brands. I've heard maybe half a dozen spots on Rush for RyJ and Montecristo.
