Glad I jumped on that box of...
1. Gurkha Pre-Embargo's - A wonderful cigar, back in the day. In reality, there wasn't much pre-embargo tobacco (if any) in the blend...but it was well balanced and terrific right out of the box. They lost a lot in aging...but I sold them off one by one and got much more in return.
2. Padron Millennium's - I've still got about ten of these left...and the sweet humidor. They started out tasting like your "run of the mill" (joking) 1964's...and they have matured into plumed-out 26's. Saving each one for special occasions. I will smoke the last one right before I die...and probably be very disappointed I didn't smoke it decades earlier. Padrons are not a cigar to lay down. 3. Tatuaje West's - Probably my favorite "everyday" smoke when they were available. I call them everyday smokes because they came in boxes of fifty and you felt as though you would never run out. Unfortunately, when you smoke everyday...two boxes of these don't last forever. I smoked the last one with no regrets. Since I hoard cigars, that was a major accomplishment. Baby steps. 4. Padron 45's - My latest addition. I've only smoked two...and I plan on staring at the remaining eight for many years to come. In hindsight, I wish I hadn't opened the box at all. Being a HUGE fan of the brand...I already knew what to expect. Tobacco aged for ten years...by Padron? Can you say "Y2K"? I need more special occasions. |
