Re: From a Newb to Other Newbs

great post. After buying singles throughout the summer, I decided it was worthwhile to invest in a good humidor to help store the smokes. I actually ordered the humi today. Even though I don't even have it yet, the wait in order to season it will be excruciating painful. Just imagining it lying empty is not a pretty site.

It's hard but worth it! I rushed my first humi a bit - and ended up having to reseason it - a pain. So take the time up front then Enjoy.

Great post! Have to agree with the last couple of posts, patience is really important, I wasn't with both my humidors, and had to suffer the consequences - maybe I'll learn the third time

Rick,

Great post! As you highlighted in number 5 you really need to let those cigars rest, even if your buying them from a reputable cigar store as there environment may be significantly different than yours at home.

Cheers,
Brad

Rick, your post would have saved me hours of searching the forums for answers. But then I would not have realized the degree of brotherhood that is offered here.

Great post.

Having been a cigar whore for most of the years I have been smoking I can agree with CigarShortie, cut your consumption down and smoke fewer sticks;quality over quantity.I have to admit I have a hard time doing this.I will say this;when a adopt this method of consumption,I enjoy my smokes a lot more.FrankB

Re: From a Newb to Other Newbs

Thanks for the great post! I could possibly be the most impatient person in the world. I have 2 brand new 150 ct humidors. I started seasoning them yesterday. Having to wait 2 weeks is driving me crazy, but I know I got to do it.

Re: From a Newb to Other Newbs

Thanks all for the comments! Glad you find the post usefull. I still have problems with (5), letting the cigars rest a bit - but I appreciate them so much more when I do. Patience is hard for me.

Still learning.

Rick
