My Newbie Humidors - Rearranging my stash..

Good Afternoon Folks.
I hope you are all having a good weekend so far, The weather is crappy here..

Just thought I'd post some pics of newbie humidors and there contents while I was on a rearranging kick this morning.

I certainly don't have the selection of some of you senior BOTL's.
But I am working on it a little at a time.
Gotta start somewhere..

I feel like I need a bigger box or 2...

Thumbs up Re: My Newbie Humidors - Rearranging my stash..

Very nice supply of sticks. Rearranged my 3 humis as well today.

I store a long term rest humi. A med term rest humi and a smoke NOW
humi.

If may ask with those several humis you have, do you have a system in place as well.

Well, Sorta ...

*My bigger 150ct. box is the general storage area.. If I have more then 1 of a particular stick it goes there.
*I use a small 25ct. box for "flavored' or infused smokes, Like Acid and those tins of smaller smokes my wife don't complain about too much.
* I use another 25ct. box for " What I plan to smoke soon.. ".. I open this one much more frequently then any other box I have.
* I have the jar thingy for my "cheaper" sticks I picked up to try.
* I also have a 10ct. Herfador full of my favorites .. In case I need to bring something for on the go. (Not pictured)

Is this a bad thing? or normal for some of us?

Two words: Coolidor!

I'm getting there! My 125 count is getting pretty full.

Nice collection. I have a 300 count humidor that filled up with only 250 or so smokes, and a 20 count I keep various "special" cigars in.

Nice stash.

But I see you have your Tatiana's in with your acids, yeah they're flavored but don't transfer there scent like the acids do. I'd put them in a separate humi, or tupperware. I keep all my coffee infused cigars with the all my other cigars but in a dedicated box in my coolidor just to be safe. I'd be afraid of having a coffee infused cigar with hints of perfume.

Just my 2cents.?.

Excellent reason for me to get a larger humidor shortly.

Re: My Newbie Humidors - Rearranging my stash..

Buy a big-ass cooler and be done with it. Buying a bunch of humidors is expensive and they take up a lot of room. Coolers are cheap, work great, and they're very easy. Grab a bunch of empty boxes from your B&M and use them to store your singles of similar sizes. I started with one 200 ct. humidor, then bought another, then a 100 ct., then another, and yet another. Now I have 5 humidors and 3 120 qt. coolers that are all full. Coolers are easy and cheap and hold dead-on at 65% with the right beads inside.

LOL..

That may be the future purchase.
I read a thread on making one.
Seems easy and effective..

But wooden ones are nicer to look at.

Dunno what I will do.

Re: My Newbie Humidors - Rearranging my stash..

First, awesome name. I have some discs you may like, or already have. I need to make a list and send it off to you.

Second, the slope is slippery and it all happens so fast. I just got a danby 17 bottle wine cooler since the humi I bought 3 months ago was stuffed. Coolers are awesome, but my wife would throw me and the cooler out the door. The wine fridge was aesthetically pleasing and I do not have to plug it in to keep my temp at 68 ish. Check out craigslist and haggle. I got mine for 20 bucks. I paid 70 for a humi I will need to sell soon.

Like I was told. You have been warned
