Rocky Patel Maduro of Costa Rica???

I bought a RP variety pack from Thompson Cigars and it came a few weeks back. In the package was a Rocky Patel Maduro of Costa Rica. It had a black and gold label (unlike the red and cold of their current Maduro stick which appears to be Nicaraguan)

It was delectable... but I cannot find it anywhere. I'd love to acquire some more, but cannot find one anywhere. I've come a cross a YouTube video discussing the blending and making of this "special cigar"

I see that RP has a bunch of other Maduro sticks in their lines, so I'm wondering if anyone may have enjoyed a "Maduro of Costa Rica" and can tell me of another RP that might similarly compare.

Excellent. Glad they were found. Not sure how long I can let them sit before lighting one up, but that's why I got 3. I'll let you know what I think of it.

I contacted them initially and they had never heard of it. Any ideas where (online/in store?). Thanks!

Is this cigar a Costa Rican blend of tobacco or is it just the maduro wrapper? I did a search and I couldn't come up with this cigar at all. I know he blends Nicaraguan & Honduran Ligero longfillers and then uses Costa Rican wrappers but I have not seen that band before. Could be that we are talking about OWR or REO cigar with a different label,,,,who knows as Rocky has about as many cigars and blends as Gurkha.

I found out about these and was told Thompson Cigars sold them. I called and they had never heard of them and said they didn't know. I called Rocky Patel and was told that it is a private blend supposedly ONLY sold at a B&M in CA. I called and talked to an employee and paid for a 3-pack. He claimed they can't keep them in stock.

His Description of it: "Just so you know that blend was created by a customer who went down to The Rocky Patel Factory and created this taste using a Costa Rican Maduro with a Panama filler and some Honduran and Nicaraguan binder. I have rob toro churchill torpedo and 6x60 avail cost range from 149 to 299 per box"

If anyone finds them anywhere else, I'm curious as to where. Otherwise, I was told these are amazing and I'll let you know after I fire one up.

I'm not sure that's the same thing. The filler and binder are not what I was told by the shop. Although the wrapper might be the same one. Hmmm.
