Question on Jr

I do understand JR. cigars is now owned by altadis. I have 2 questions.

1) Since I dont know one manufacturer from the other, are all the cigars that jr sells part of the "altadis family" of cigars.

2) The store in Paramus New Jersey of Jr. They tell me they are independent of JR. Does anyone know if the retail location sells "Non altadis" family of cigars. Befoe I take a trip there I would like to know.

When I call them, they do not seem to have a clue what I am talking about. I just ask if they have rockys. patels or cohibas, and they say no.
Maybee their franchis agreement forbids it. I know their pricing is independent of the jr online, and the catalogues. Its not a bad store, just not really informed clerks working their.
I do enjoy buying my cigars, when I can see them and feel them first. Or even buying a single, trying it out and then if liking buying a larger quantitity right on the spot. Its kind of neat.(Can I say neat these days??LOL)

JR sells mostly Altadis and General products. They also sell a limited supply of Gurkhas. No Rocky, Padron, or Pepin.

As mentioned they sell cigars not made by Altadis too. And I think in their retail stores in NC they stock stuff that isn't offered online.

For me JR is a retailer I go to only when they have a big sale on something I enjoy but wouldn't pay MSRP to get. Such as Excaliburs, RyJ Habana Reserves, Mayorgas, etc. They don't bother with any of the boutique (Pepin, Tat, Illusione) type cigars.
