Re: Cabaiguan Guapo

I thought the cabaiguan guapos were the maduro! doh.

but I've heard that claim before about the cabaiguans. There was a famous blind taste test on here where a special release Cabaiguan was guessed as Cuban, a very nice smoking one to boot. I think it got a 9 out 10 rating.

I gotta be honest, I really wasn't that impressed with them... Maybe I didn't let them acclimate properly (I smoked them all as singles from the same B&M within a few days/week of purchase). I will definitely revisit them soon! (letting them rest for a few weeks in the humis, this time)

Re: Cabaiguan Guapo

I've never had a Cuban so i can't comment on that. However, I do enjoy the natural Cabaiguan's much more than the maduro. But the maduro I smoked at the B&M right after purchase. I have another maduro in my humidor that has probably been in for about a month. May smoke it in the next week or two to see if that makes a significant difference.
