what should i get my mama?
so i've mentioned to a couple of you about moving in with the folks again. and i've come to realize my mother thinks cigars are on the caliber of crack cocaine. so i finally got her to go have a smoke with me today, figure it might help her realize it's safer than cigarettes for that matter. although she did mention that we should only have one, not knowing i can't handle more than one a day anyways..... be as it may, i wanted to get her started, but in my stash asides from short story, i'm not sure if anything is good for a 60 year old lady.... i was wondering if anyone had any recommendations ( no flavored one PELASE!)

does your mother have a smoking history? If not I would try something mild with a lot of flavor. connecticut wrapper is probably in call for her.
What are some of the choices we to choose from?

Is it me, or is this kinda weird. I mean......
Thin ring guage and an EMS wrapper would be good I think. Shouldn't be too overwhelming to her palate. |

I'd go with a 5 Vegas Gold or an Oliva Connecticut Reserve. Both are good mild cigars in my book.

Mild + Lots Flavor , first thing pops into my head is the Perdomo Champagne. Even the size is just right for a beginner.
She will love it. Promise. Haven't seen a newbie asking for a mild in the shop yet, that didn't come back for more. |

As far as my mother is concerned, tobacco is The Devil's Weed, no better than pot. Believe me, if I were ever able to sit on the porch with my mom and dad and both my brothers and their wives and enjoy some relaxed conversation and without drama, and have some stogies, those would be some fantastic times. Unfortunately, it can never be, and that's a stone drag. If it's something that's a possibility for you, do it!

i did as ordered brothers. got her a Perdomo Champagne, BUT we had to cancel tonight. maybe monday...

I gave my mother-in-law a BTL about 6 years ago. Now she has a cigar with me a couple times a year. Usually hemingways or Cuban cigars old enough to have passed their prime.
