Re: Smoke a stick in memory of

I smoked 2 today, 1 for all the members of my family that have served, my father (Marines), Uncle (Navy), Grandfather (Army WWII), Grandmother ( SGT. U.S. Marine Corps 1944 - 1948. She was the person I repected most in the entire world). 2. Is for all the men and women who have faught and givent he ultimate sacrifice so that I can still enjoy the freedoms that so many today take for granted.

To all of these men and women and to all the men and women that read these boards I say thank you for all that you do. If any of you ever pass through CT just give me a shout and I would be proud to smoke with you all and call you my friends.

Retired AF here, served 13 yrs in the 321 Strategic Missile Wing, Grand Forks AFB, ND. Last two yrs at Cape Canaveral. Never anything like combat, just
keeping our main ICBM's at the ready. One uncle who had his ship shot out from under him in WWII, another uncle in the AF before me. To all those I served with, and those serving now around the world, and to the fallen who made the ultimate sacrifice that I can sit here and type these words - this
Monte 2 is for you.

God bless you all and keep you safe.

Re: Smoke a stick in memory of

Thought I might bring this back today one day early with a brief message.

It’s been another year and given almost another thousand deaths of our bravest and finest in the Middle East, it’s time to put aside differences and say a prayer or a moment of silence for all those who served and died in our armed forces. If you can also visit a memorial, do something for a disabled vet, help a family of a soldier overseas or simply do a good deed for another person in the memory of those who gave their lives for this county, that would be great. Check out Squid’s post number 524:

http://www.clubstogie.com/vb/showthr...=36211&page=35

I will also smoke a cigar in the memory of my father and all those who served and died to keep this country free so that I can.

Re: Smoke a stick in memory of

I will smoke one in memory of my father, WWII, Korea, Vietnam Naval service, and my father in law, WWII North Atlantic convoy duty in the Merchant Marines. I will also smoke in memory of all those who went before me, especially in the Marine Corps who gave me the goal to become a Marine and uphold their honor and to those who are now serving after me who continue to uphold the honor of this country and who are writing their own history. I say thank you to all.

Re: Smoke a stick in memory of

God Bless America, and all the brave military that have fought and died to make this the greatest country in the history of the world. The good old USA is not without problems but after seeing quite a bit of the world, I think I'll just stay right here and bitch about those problems.

Smoking a few stogies in tribute to all the military serving overseas right now. Nice thread brother.
