Vendor question

Anyone ever bought from White Ash? I didn't see them on the sticky list of vendors. Their website is actually a little hokey, IMO. Things like this don't exactly inspire confidence:

Our Weekly Cigar Specials
All prices are valid through 08/31/09

The main logo links to nowhere, stuff like that. It claims they have a discontinued item I've been looking for. I even e-mailed them to see if they actually have it, but I'm sure it will be at least Monday before I hear anything back. Their prices seem fairly average, but I'm leery of dealing with them unless one of you guys recommends them. Like I've always said, it doesn't matter if something is free, if you can't actually get it.

Re: Vendor question

A couple of reasons. My B&M carried the Camacho Negro, until I bought the last of them. I really like them, but I guess I'm the only one since they were only on the market for a few years. If I could get them from one of the companies I'm familiar with, I wouldn't even be thinking about it. The other thing is, I've only been doing the online thing for a little over a year, so just because I'm not familiar with a company doesn't mean they're not a perfectly reputable outfit. I'm not going to deal with them unless someone chimes in and says they're for real. There are too many red flags. A hundred bucks isn't a huge amount of money, but it's more than I'm willing to flush down the toilet.

They still have the logo from the "Retail Tobacco Dealer Association", which changed their name some time ago.

There's the whole deal, if you're that leery, don't risk your money. I haven't heard anything about them, good or bad.

Too many things like this can make a person nervous...or at least give the impression that they don't care about their internet clientele. Pass unless you hear something positive from someone you trust.

Re: Vendor question

I looked on their site and the page for the Negro says it was last updated Sept, 2006. I bet they don't have them any more.
