So what do you do WHILE you enjoy your cigar?

For those that make cigar smoking a ritual, what do you do (if anything) while you are enjoying your fine tube of smoldering rolled tobacco leaf?

Usually just read. Or if I am at the local smoke shop and college football is on the tube, I'll watch that. I find reading to be a relaxing pursuit and it is a perfect way to spend 90 minutes with a good cigar. It's nice that the local Tinder Box is a block away from the bookstore. Good for me, bad for my wallet.

Ive noticed my favorite times to enjoy a cigar is usually when I can sit by myself, outside on a nice day and just do nothing, until the stogie starts to burn my finger.

I usually sit on the back deck, enjoy the peace and quiet and I usually have a coke, a beer, or a coke with something else in it (rum or JD). Sometimes, I might have a scotch. I usually sit out there with my wife and dog and we talk and dream about the future or discuss politics or talk about the kids and most nights we listen to the radio. Mark Levin is on at six out here so we listen to his show. Sometimes though, I just sit there and veg.

I would love to have a laptop to enjoy the internet and surf Puff.com and get a slingbox to stream TV over my wi-fi. We also want a hot tub and we will do the cigar thing out there especially when its cold. I may just move outside if I get all that!!

I watch TV via a slingbox on my laptop, surf the net, listen to music (jazz, blues or oldies), read, or sometimes just vegetate. All good.

Right now I'm listening to some blues and surfing while enjoying my first Graycliff Double Espresso with some single malt scotch. Num!

I usually Puff and play poker on the lap top. I will also just do nothing sometimes.

I'm usually surfing Puff on my iphone, but I haven't seen how far in the backyard the wireless would go for my little netbook.

Depends on the time of year and the place. In the winter I'm usually in the garage with my laptop going through the forums or listening to pod casts.

Summer time I'll sit out on the deck and enjoy the weather.

I did check one box but the real truth is that I do pretty much everything when I smoke a cigar. For 40 years plus this habit has always been able to get me to relax and think thru things in a slow and regular rythym instead of the hectic pace we seem to live in now. After lighting a cigar and within 10 minutes my thoughts have slowed down from a breakneck pace to one that is now relaxing and steady. My thoughts are clearer and my rationale of life seems to gain traction in seeing things outside the "box" and most of my best decisions were made while smoking a cigar. Objectivity is something that is hard to practice when not induced by something else,,,cigars seem to get me into a mental place that nothing else does.
