So what's up with cigar scissors?

I recently was checking out cigar scissors as a method of cutting my smokes. Do any of you guys use them, and if so, how do you use them? Do you feel there are any benefits?

I use them daily. You just use them like scissors and cut the cap off. They are great for larger ring guages as well. I personally use the xikar scissors for a few
reasons including compact size, tools for lighter purging, and the lifetime warranty.

I'm pretty sure Cigar Man Andy uses one on occasion....I think he posted about it a ways back. Maybe he'll chime in.

Yeah the scissors have intrigued me. I might pick up a pair if I can find them cheap.

Cheers,
Brad

Funny thing. scissors are great. In the field, when it was cigar time at the end of the day, I would get one of my sergeants to get the doc if he wasnt around already.
He would take one of his surgical scissors and clip all of our cigars for us. And we would reward him with a cigar of his own. A great symbiotic relationship.
It was difficult to be precise using our kbar kniges, but my fairborne-sykes did a wonderful job. LOL

Much regardds Jerry

Re: So what's up with cigar scissors?

Hi Guys

I have had a pair of gar scissors on hand for years. I originally got them just for clipping RGs that were too big for a pocket cutter. But ended up liking it for man-cave use, plus they saved wear on the pocket cutter.

These days I use the wolf V-cutta for everything except Pyramids/ figurados/ perfectos

I would be leary of super cheap scissors, but wth for 4 bucks.....

But Remember, "The bitterness of poor quality lasts long after the joy of a cheap price is forgotten..."
