A plugged Anejo?

I lit up a 07 Anejo and was talking with Cigar Man Andy and noticed that my cheeks were hurting trying to draw on this thing. Now let me say, my humis are at 62-65 RH ALL the time as I carry mostly CCs in them at this point. It is smoking great now but this is the first Fuente product that I had this issue with. Anyone else? It is a delicious stick by the way

Re: A plugged Anejo?

I had a bad Sungrown Chateau once. It MAY have been my fault as one guy thought it may have been over-humidified, but it was sitting in my 65% humi for almost 2 weeks I think. In any event, it cracked on me and since it was a cheaper cigar, I pummeled it into the ground after not being able to get anything but a room-aroma out of it.

I e-mailed Fuente's customer service with a detailed description and pictures and never got anything back from them. At least it wasn't an Anejo!

Scott, I imagine it happens from time to time.. rarely I would hope on a limited release cigar. With that said though, it's never happened to me with an Anejo. Did you work the plug loose?

Yes, with a wooden skewer. It smoked fine after that fortunately.

Re: A plugged Anejo?

When you know how much these go for having a plugged one would make me a bit sad. Always keep something to "unplug" these things when they do pop up. I learned my lesson along time ago and got me a top of the line tool and never worry about plugged cigars anymore. Glad you got that sucker to smoke for you Scott.

It's like buying a new Lexus and the son of a bitch don't start. It all worked out in the end though.
